A Brazilian Butt Lift, is a popular procedure for Munster & Hobart patients who are unhappy with the shape and size of their buttocks. A Munster & Hobart Brazilian Butt Lift provides patients with the shapely buttocks they’ve always wanted, while also providing the added benefit of liposuction of the abdomen, flanks, and thighs.* The Brazilian Butt Lift adds another element to Dr. Frank’s ability to contour your body.
The Brazilian Butt Lift Procedure
A Brazilian Butt Lift is a combined liposuction and fat injection procedure. With a Munster & Hobart Brazilian Butt Lift, Dr. Frank will perform liposuction of your problem areas, such as your abdomen, flanks, thighs or other areas to harvest fat cells. These fat cells will be filtered and processed, and then injected into your buttock fat and muscles to provide you with more curvaceous, lifted butt.* Unlike butt implants which were popular in the past, a Brazilian Butt Lift provides more natural looking results and can last a lifetime.* It’s important for patients to know that not all the fat transferred during the procedure will survive. Some of the fat cells will not gain a blood supply in their new home and will be broken up by your body in the same way it handles other injured cells. For this reason, patients should not expect to see the degree of improvement six months down the road that they see immediately following their Brazilian Butt Lift procedure.*

Harvesting Fat for a Munster & Hobart Brazilian Butt Lift
Sometimes, Munster & Hobart Brazilian Butt Lift patients are concerned that they do not have enough fat on their bodies to harvest for a Brazilian Butt Lift. This is typically not the case. The amount of fat that Dr. Frank needs to harvest for your Munster & Hobart Brazilian Butt Lift all depends on your frame and unique physique. If you have some excess fat spread amongst your abdomen, thighs, flanks and back, you likely have enough fat to be liposuctioned out for a Munster & Hobart Brazilian Butt Lift.
Recovery from a Munster & Hobart Brazilian Butt Lift
A Brazilian Butt Lift is an outpatient procedure, but there are still several instructions that you will need to follow to recover properly from your Brazilian Butt Lift and achieve the optimal results. First, since you will be placed under general anesthesia for your Munster & Hobart Brazilian Butt Lift, you will need to arrange for a friend or family member to drive you home from your surgery. You will also want to arrange for someone to stay with you for the first few days after your surgery to help you get around, as cooking and getting things for yourself may be difficult.
After your Brazilian Butt Lift surgery, you will not be able to sit or lie on your buttocks for two weeks.* Instead, you can lie on your stomach, your side, or use pillows underneath your thighs to prop yourself up and off of your buttocks. It is crucial that you follow these post-operative instructions to not sit on your buttocks, as failing to do so may put undue pressure on your buttocks and cause the injected fat to not properly graft with your buttocks tissue, thus negatively impacting your final results.
While it is important for you to rest and relax following any surgery, you will want to walk around as soon as possible after your Munster & Hobart Brazilian Butt Lift. You will also need to take your pain medication as prescribed – even if that means waking up in the middle of the night so that you don’t skip a dose – and abstain from drinking alcohol while you are taking pain medication.
After about two weeks following your Munster & Hobart Brazilian Butt Lift, you will be able to return to work or school.* However, you will need to refrain from strenuous lifting or exercise for about 2 months.* When you exercise, you burn fat, and if you exercise too soon after a Brazilian Butt Lift, you may inadvertently burn off the fat that was injected into your gluteal muscles, thus negatively impacting your final Brazilian Butt Lift results.
