If you’ve been looking for a Lake County plastic surgeon to perform a breast augmentation so that you can finally have the breasts you’ve always desired, then you’ve come to the right place. Dr. Frank is a technically trained, artistically inclined professional with an impeccable bedside manner, making him a good choice for women in the area who are looking to surgically enlarge their breasts.
Most Lake County women who visit Dr. Frank for an initial consultation aren’t interested in looking like they’ve had work done. They want to have natural-looking results from a breast augmentation that better accentuates their silhouette. Common reasons that women seek out Dr. Frank include:
- They’ve never been satisfied with the minimal amount of natural breast volume they have
- They want to restore breast volume lost from childbearing, breastfeeding or aging
- They have noticeably asymmetrical breasts and want to even out their figure
Because Dr. Frank is so focused on patient communication and providing his surgical candidates with realistic expectations for their procedure, he is a highly desired and well-respected Lake County breast augmentation surgeon.
Your Experience at our Practice
If you’re considering entrusting Dr. Frank to give you the breasts you’ve always wanted, he wants to meet you as early as possible. That’s why Dr. Frank himself – not a patient coordinator – conducts all initial consultations with surgical candidates. During this first appointment, Dr. Frank will interview you about your desires for a breast augmentation to understand the type of results you are hoping for, screen your medical history to ensure that it is safe for you to undergo elective surgery, and explain the procedure to you. His team will also provide you with a full quote for your Lake County breast augmentation – from surgical costs to facilities fees and beyond. Always focused on honest and transparent communication, Dr. Frank doesn’t want you to be surprised later with charges you weren’t expecting.
If you and Dr. Frank mutually agree to move forward with a breast augmentation, you’ll schedule a second appointment with him to complete patient consent forms, learn about the post-op process and what aid you’ll need to recover comfortably, take pre-op photos, and try on various breast implant sizes in a bra. By trying on breast implants, Lake County women are able to see the difference that 50 cc makes in selecting their size of breast implant, as well as the different results that occur from various breast implant shapes and profiles. If you’re still unsure by the end of your second appointment which size of implant you want to go with, Dr. Frank will invite you to come back a third time so that you can be certain before your surgery day.
Additional Breast Implant Choices
While Dr. Frank offers both silicone and saline breast implants, most of his Lake County breast augmentation patients choose silicone breast implants because they tend to look and feel more natural.* Always concerned about quality, Dr. Frank uses the best implants available on the market: Mentor®, Sientra, Natrelle® and Inamed®.
Breast implants can be placed either above or below the breast muscle. For the most part, Dr. Frank prefers to place implants below his patients’ breast muscle so that their results look more natural, they have a reduced risk of developing capsular contracture, they’ll have less interference with mammograms in the future, and breastfeeding after a breast augmentation will be easier.*
Your Surgery Day Experience
On the day of your surgery, you’ll arrive at a local licensed JCAHO accredited surgical facility for your procedure, having fasted at least 12 hours beforehand. You’ll be prepped by our pre-op team in the operating room where you’ll receive a dose of general anesthesia from your anesthesiologist. This strong medication will make you completely asleep and unaware of the surgery for your ultimate comfort. Throughout the procedure, your vital signs will be monitored as your health and safety is Dr. Frank’s primary concern.
After your surgery, you’ll awaken in a recovery room where you’ll be monitored by our post-op team. Most Lake County women are able to leave soon after they wake up and show that they are no longer under the effects of general anesthesia,* but they will need to arrange for a ride home because of the strong medication they received for surgery
Recovering from a Breast Augmentation
Dr. Frank wants you to be as comfortable as possible after your surgery. For this reason, during your surgery he will place an epidural catheter in the pocket created for your breast implant to deliver local anesthesia. The catheter is removed just before you wake up bathing your implants in local anesthetic. This insures your comfort as you wake up. He recommends that patients take their prescription pain medication as directed, even if it means waking up in the middle of the night to take a dose so they can stay on top of their pain
In the first few days after your breast augmentation, you won’t be able to do any heavy lifting – including lifting small children – and you’ll need to sleep either on your back with pillows propped up behind your back, in the fetal position, or in a recliner. You’ll be able to return to work about 7-10 days after your surgery and resume strenuous exercise about 4-6 weeks after your procedure. It’ll take about 4-6 weeks for your breast implants to settle, so don’t be alarmed if you notice some initial asymmetry in your early recovery period.
